Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and CVMagnet (“CVMagnet”, “we”, “us”). CVMagnet provides a software service, based in the United States, that helps you tailor your resume to a specific job description. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

CVMagnet is software that analyzes a resume you provide against a job description you provide, scores the match, highlights missing keywords, and generates a tailored resume and, on paid plans, a cover letter. It is a software tool, not a resume-writing, recruiting, or career-advisory service, and it does not guarantee any interview, job offer, or other outcome.

You must be at least 18 years old to use CVMagnet. Accounts and sign-in are managed through our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account. Keep your login credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.

CVMagnet offers a free plan and a paid “Pro” plan at $24.99 per month (USD). The Pro plan is a recurring subscription that renews automatically each month until you cancel.

Purchases are sold through Link, a Stripe company, which acts as the Merchant of Record and is the seller for your subscription. Link handles checkout, payment, invoicing and applicable sales tax, VAT and GST. By subscribing you also agree to Link’s terms, presented at checkout. You authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that.

Prices are shown in US dollars and exclusive of tax. Any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live is calculated and added at checkout and shown before you pay. Your card may be charged in your local currency at the exchange rate applied at checkout. Your statement will show the charge as “LINK.COM* CVMagnet”.

Card details are entered on Link’s checkout page and are never received or stored by us. Receipts and invoices are emailed by Link, and you can view your orders, update your payment method or cancel at any time through Link or from your CVMagnet account settings.

The free plan includes 3 tailored resumes per month. Your month runs from the date you created your account; on a paid plan it runs from your billing date, so your allowance resets each time you are charged. “Unlimited” tailoring on the Pro plan is subject to fair use: to protect the service from automated or abusive traffic, we apply a ceiling of 400 tailored resumes per month per account. This ceiling is far above normal individual use, and we will contact you before taking any action if your usage approaches it.

CVMagnet offers a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first Pro payment. If you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund within 7 days of that payment. To qualify you must have actively used the service — at least one tailored resume — and provide brief feedback about your experience, which we use to improve the product. Request a refund through our contact form. The guarantee applies to your first Pro payment; after that you can cancel at any time and will not be charged again.

You also have whatever cancellation or cooling-off rights the law where you live gives you, and those are applied automatically at checkout where they apply.

Because purchases are sold through Link as Merchant of Record, you can also take a refund request to Link support directly, and Link may issue a refund within 60 days of a purchase at its discretion, whether or not the guarantee above applies.

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is false or misleading.
• Use the service to violate any law or the rights of any third party.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
• Resell, redistribute, or provide the service to third parties as your own.
• Overload the service through automated or abusive use beyond your plan’s limits.

You retain all rights to the resume and job-description content you provide (“Your Content”) and to the tailored documents generated for you. You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the service, including sending it to our AI provider for processing as described in our Privacy Policy. The CVMagnet name, software, and design remain our property.

CVMagnet uses artificial intelligence to analyze and generate text. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying every document before you rely on or submit it. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of any resume or cover letter you send to an employer.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVMagnet will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold CVMagnet harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us or others. On termination, the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute that is not otherwise resolved.
